Why should we care about boosting the creative part of our minds? There are great reasons for everyone to want to be more creative.
For starters, elevated creativity is associated with increased intelligence. Life is a series of challenges, some typically pretty easy to solve; what to have for dinner, where are my shoes, where did I leave my keys? And some a little more difficult; how can I be a better husband and parent, how am I going to pass Chemistry II, when should I buy a house, where should I invest my money? Life can be a lot simpler when you have a way to come up with more ideas and more creative ways to tame and solve life’s complexities.
Among a host of other things, increased creativity could allow you to:
- Finally start that business.
- Grow and enhance the business you already have.
- Reach out to people in unique new ways.
- Have a better memory.
- Explore new and better ways to communicate with your boss, employees, and coworkers.
- Come up with new ways to let your sweetie, your parents, your kids, or your friends know how much you care about them.
- Figure out better ways to save for the future while still enjoying dining out and other luxuries once in a while.
- Discover ways to do chores quicker and easier, giving you more time to enjoy personal pursuits and family.
- Find ways to better manage your time, giving you more freedom.
- More easily learn new things: languages, new concepts, analysis, etc.
In a nutshell, opening up more of your brain and your abstract thought processes can give you more… well, YOU. And it’s some of the best and most capable aspects of you.
If you want it, creativity is already there, bubbling happily inside you. All you need is to want to release it and to regularly follow a few simple concepts, and you’ll feel the effects right away, and you’ll see your creativity grow with time if you nurture it. Thanks so much for coming along with me. Let’s get creative.
